About me

My name is Diego Comas. I’m a cloud native security enthusiast, and Sr. Security Engineer at MessageBird. In my work, I develop security practices for cloud native technologies, such as containers and Kubernetes. I’m constantly working to go beyond just a DevSecOps approach, by combining the best of technical and operational security practices and aligning them with the business goals.

I have several years of experience in the IT industry and I am passionate about cloud, automation and security. I have been lucky to be exposed to multiple innovate solutions in the cloud native security area and sometimes perform presentations and share stories with the community at diverse meetups and events like Google Cloud Next Financial Services.

I have been leading teams in application security, cloud security and security automation areas in modern companies. I have several years of experience protecting cloud environments and applications, recently being more focused in highly regulated environments like banking and telco.
